Pressed Flowers Cowl – We Get You Started ✨🧶

A Relaxed Knitting Session to Confidently Begin Your Project as part of our We Get You Started series 🌸

Join us for a beautiful and inspiring session centered around the much-loved Pressed Flowers Cowl by Amy Christoffers , a gorgeous mosaic knitting project that combines color, texture, and a striking floral-inspired design.

The Pressed Flowers Cowl is worked using mosaic knitting, a wonderful colorwork technique that creates an intricate-looking pattern while working with only one color at a time. It’s a fun and approachable way to explore colorwork and create the beautiful pressed-flower effect that makes this design so special.

The cowl is worked flat, using either circular or straight needles. Once the knitting is complete, the cast-on edge is sewn to the bound-off edge during finishing to create the cowl.

The pattern can be worked in Sport, DK, or Light Worsted weight yarn, making it a wonderful opportunity to play with different color combinations and create a version that feels completely your own.

Together with Laurie, we will go over the pattern and construction, introduce and practice the mosaic knitting technique, talk about working with two colors, answer questions, and help you confidently get started on your project in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

This session is designed to help you begin your project with confidence while enjoying a cozy and creative knitting experience together.

The idea behind our We Get You Started sessions is simple:
we meet, we explain, we practice, we start together, and then you continue knitting your project comfortably at your own pace - at home, while traveling, during cozy evenings, or wherever your knitting takes you. 🧶✨

Please note that this is not a beginner knitting class. Participants should already feel comfortable with the fundamentals of knitting and reading a pattern.

🧶 Skill Level

Designed for knitters who are comfortable with:

– Knit & purl stitches
– Casting on and binding off
– Following a knitting pattern
– Basic pattern reading
– Basic knitting techniques

No previous mosaic knitting experience is required - that’s what we’ll help you get started with! 🌸

🧵 Please Come Prepared With

– Your Pressed Flowers Cowl pattern ready
– Your yarn selected in advance
– 2 contrasting colors — Main Color (MC) & Contrast Color (CC)
– Sport, DK, or Light Worsted weight yarn
– US 6 / 4 mm needles, or needle size needed to achieve gauge
– Any basic knitting notions you normally use

Approximate yarn requirements:
325 (450, 650) yards total
MC: 175 (250, 350) yards
CC: 150 (200, 300) yards

Registration & Cancellation Policy

By signing up, you are reserving your spot and making a commitment to attend the scheduled session.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable and non-transferable.

A minimum of 3 participants is required for this session to take place.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the session. In that case, participants will receive a refund, priority access and invitation to a future session.
