Scrappy Tee Party – We Get You Started ✨🧶

Join us for a fun and colorful session as part of our We Get You Started series, featuring the Mix Tape Tee by Wool & Pine , the perfect project to turn all those beautiful mini skeins, leftovers, and little treasures from your stash into something you’ll actually wear. ✨

Mix Tape Tee is a relaxed, lightweight tee worked side-to-side from sleeve to sleeve. Alternating simple garter and stockinette stripes creates beautiful vertical texture and makes every version completely unique.

Each stripe uses approximately 3–6 grams of fingering-weight yarn, making this the ultimate stash-busting project. Bring your minis, half skeins, advent leftovers, hand-dyed treasures, solids, speckles - anything goes! 🧶💕

Together with Kristen, we’ll go over the pattern and construction, talk about sizing and positive ease, review yarn and color choices, practice the stitches and techniques used, and help you confidently get started on your own Mix Tape Tee.

The idea behind We Get You Started is simple:
we explain, we practice, we start together and then you continue at your own pace. 🧶✨

Please note that this is not a beginner knitting class. Basic knitting skills and pattern reading are required.

🧶 Skill Level

You should be comfortable with:

– Knit & purl stitches
– Casting on & binding off
– Following a knitting pattern
– Basic increases & decreases

No previous garment knitting experience is required!

🧵 Please Come Prepared With

– Your Mix Tape Tee pattern
– A selection of fingering-weight yarn — minis, scraps, leftovers, half skeins, solids, speckles or tonals
– US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needles (16”–40”), or size needed to achieve gauge
– A completed and blocked gauge swatch
– Needles used for your swatch, especially if different from the recommended US 5 / 3.75 mm
– Tapestry needle & basic knitting notions

Please select your yarn during shop hours prior to the session so we can make the most of our time together.

Registration & Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable and non-transferable.

A minimum of 3 participants is required. If the minimum is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the session. Participants will receive a refund and priority access to a future session.
