Join us for another inspiring session as part of our We Get You Started series, featuring the beautiful Grid Gambit by Samantha Guerin.

Grid Gambit is a modern cowl worked flat from one corner and shaped with increases and decreases before being seamed after blocking. The beautiful allover mosaic pattern, combined with built-in I-Cord edges and an I-Cord bind off, creates a polished and striking design.

Mosaic knitting creates beautiful colorwork while working with only one color at a time, making this a fun and approachable technique to learn.

Together with Laurie, we’ll go over the pattern and construction, practice mosaic knitting, review the shaping and I-Cord techniques, talk about yarn and color choices, and help you confidently get started.

The idea behind We Get You Started is simple:
we explain, we practice, we start together  and then you continue at your own pace. 🧶✨

Please note that this is not a beginner knitting class. Basic knitting skills and pattern reading are required.

🧶 Skill Level

You should be comfortable with:

– Knit & purl stitches
– Casting on & binding off
– Following a knitting pattern
– Increasing & decreasing

No previous mosaic knitting experience is required!

🧵 Please Come Prepared With

– Your Grid Gambit pattern
– DK weight Main Color – approx. 246 yards
– Sport to DK weight Contrast Color – approx. 200 yards
– US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needle (24” or longer), or size needed to achieve gauge
– Tapestry needle & basic knitting notions

Have fun with your Contrast Color! Choose a marled, variegated, or color-changing yarn, fingering weight held double, or even use mini skeins to create your own unique version. ✨

Registration & Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable and non-transferable.

A minimum of 3 participants is required. If the minimum is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the session. Participants will receive a refund and priority access to a future session.
