Ooey Gooey Cowl β We Get You Started β¨π§Ά
October 8 β’ 1:00 PM β 2:30 PM
Join us for another inspiring session as part of our We Get You Started series, featuring the wonderfully cozy Ooey Gooey Cowl by Andrea Mowry.
The Ooey Gooey Cowl is a beautiful colorwork project that combines a sport-weight yarn with lace-weight Suri Alpaca held double, creating a wonderfully soft, cozy fabric with lots of opportunity to play with color.
Worked entirely in the round, this style of cowl is especially fun for colorwork because the right side is always facing you and there are no lots of ends to weave in along the way. Pair a solid or tonal yarn with a color-shifting yarn, play with contrast, or create your own combination to make it completely yours.
Together with Laurie, weβll go over the pattern and construction, practice the crochet provisional cast-on, review the stranded colorwork chart and how to follow it, talk about yarn and color choices, and help you confidently get started.
The idea behind We Get You Started is simple:
we explain, we practice, we start together and then you continue at your own pace. π§Άβ¨
Please note that this is not a beginner knitting class. Basic knitting skills, knitting in the round, and pattern reading are required.

You should be comfortable with:
