Who says Christmas magic has to wait until December? Join us for a little Christmas in July fun as we cast on the timeless and charming Christmas Stocking by Petite Knit - a beautiful holiday project full of cozy tradition, handmade charm, and festive anticipation ✨
The Christmas Stocking is a classic keepsake project that brings warmth and personality to your holiday décor and looks beautiful hanging by the fireplace, on a staircase, or waiting for Santa to fill it with little surprises 🎁
Knit in bulky weight yarn, this project works up quickly and creates a cozy, substantial stocking with a beautifully soft felted finish. Once completed, the stocking is felted and finished with embroidered personalization, a folded edge, and a leather loop detail — creating a timeless handmade piece to enjoy year after year.
The Christmas Stocking is worked top-down from the leg to the toe and includes heel shaping with short rows. It is worked in the round using either **DPNs (double pointed needles) or the Magic Loop method. We kindly recommend having previous experience with one of these techniques so you can comfortably follow along and fully enjoy the session 🧶✨
This project will be offered in two sessions to help you confidently get started and continue your progress together.
Together with Laurie, we will go over the pattern and construction details, practice techniques together, answer questions, and help you confidently get started on your project in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
This session is designed to help you begin your project with confidence while enjoying a cozy and creative knitting experience together.
The idea behind our We Get You Started sessions is simple:
we meet, we explain, we practice, we start together, and then you continue knitting your project comfortably at your own pace - at home, while traveling, during summer evenings, or wherever your summer takes you 🌿✈️
Please note that this is not a beginner knitting class. Participants should already feel comfortable with the fundamentals of knitting and reading patterns.
🧶 Skill Level
Designed for knitters who are comfortable with:
– Knit & purl stitches
– Casting on and binding off
– Following a knitting pattern
– Working in the round on DPNs or using Magic Loop
– Short rows are helpful but not required

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable and non-transferable.
A minimum of 3 participants is required for this session to take place.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the session. In that case, participants will receive a refund, priority access and invitation to a future session.
