A Textured Knit-Along Journey into Modern Summer Knitting
Join us for a beautiful and inspiring knitting experience centered around the elegant Joinery design by DanDoh designs - a flowing summer top full of texture, movement, and thoughtful construction details.
Together, we will work through this modern design step by step while learning beautiful joinery techniques, textured stitch patterns, panel construction, and finishing methods in a warm and supportive group atmosphere.
The Joinery Top is constructed by knitting multiple panels that connect as you go, creating stunning cable-like textured lines throughout the garment. The construction itself becomes part of the beauty of the piece, giving the top its unique character and elegant drape.
Working the design in two colors beautifully highlights the textured joinery details, though a single-color version creates an equally timeless and sophisticated look.
This club is about more than simply knitting the same project together.
It’s about creativity, shared learning, encouragement, and enjoying the process side by side in a welcoming and cozy community space.

Session Details
👥 Format:
A guided, two-session in-person knit-along designed to get you started confidently on your Joinery project. Throughout the club, we will guide you through yarn selection, panel construction, stitch techniques, finishing concepts, fit, and assembly while knitting together in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
This club is designed to teach you the techniques, help you practice the stitch patterns, and confidently begin your garment together in class. Afterwards, you will continue knitting your project at home at your own pace while applying everything you’ve learned during the sessions.
Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge, guidance, and confidence to continue your knitting journey independently while still feeling supported and inspired throughout the process.
Once everyone has completed their garments, we will gather again for a special Show-Off Meet-Up where we can admire each other’s finished pieces, celebrate everyone’s creativity, and enjoy the joy of making together ✨
Main Focus Techniques:
– Panel construction knitting
– Joining panels as you knit
– Creating textured cable-like effects
– Working textured stitch patterns
– Garment finishing and assembly
– Understanding drape and fabric flow
You will be guided through each element so you can confidently complete this beautiful textured summer garment.
Designed for confident knitters who are comfortable with basic knitting techniques and are ready to explore a modern textured project with support and inspiration.
Guided by Laurie, whose approachable, thoughtful, and encouraging teaching style makes learning feel fun, relaxed, and inspiring.
🧶 Skill Level

📅 Schedule
All club sessions take place in person from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
Joinery Club Sessions:
June 5 - Kick-Off Session
June 12
Participants will continue knitting at home between sessions while receiving guidance and support throughout the process.
🧵 Materials Needed (not included)
Yarn:
Recommended yarn: DanDoh Linen or another lightweight summer yarn with beautiful drape.
We also have beautiful yarn options available in-store. Please come by during our regular store hours to choose your yarn together with our team before the club begins.
You are welcome to bring yarn from your own stash if preferred, make sure you have the right ammount for the project.

Please purchase the pattern in advance and bring it with you to the first session.

Needles & Tools (not included):
– US 9 / 5.5 mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge
– 18–22 removable stitch markers
– Darning needle
– Lace blocking wires

Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the first session are non-refundable.
No-shows are also non-refundable.
