Step into the world of summer garment knitting and join us for our Sabai Summer Club, a warm and welcoming in-person knit-along centered around the beautiful SABAI Top.

Together, we will create this light and airy summer top while building confidence in garment knitting - stitch by stitch, side by side.

This club is about more than knitting the same top.
It’s about community, inspiration, shared learning, and enjoying the journey together - supporting one another through every step, celebrating progress, and creating something truly personal within a caring and creative space.

Session Details:

👥 Format:
A guided, two-session, in-person knit-along focused on a top-down summer garment. Throughout the Sabai Summer Club, we will explore yarn choices, construction, fit, and customization while knitting the SABAI Top together in a relaxed and encouraging group atmosphere.

Designed for knitters who have basic knitting knowledge and are ready to explore garment knitting with guidance and support.

Guided by Laurie, whose thoughtful instruction and deep knowledge create an inspiring and approachable learning experience.

Skill Level:

Knitters who are comfortable with:
– Knit & purl stitches
– Casting on & binding off
– Basic increases
– General knitting techniques

📅 Schedule

All knit-along sessions take place in person from 1:00 – 2:30 PM, unless noted otherwise.

Yarn Selection Session:
Friday, May 1 • 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Knit-Along Sessions – Sabai Summer Club (1:00 – 2:30 PM):
Friday, May 15 - Kick-Off Session
Friday, May 22 - Follow-Up Session

Participants will continue knitting at home after the sessions, with the confidence to finish their project independently.

Yarn:

DK weight yarn is recommended for this project.

We recommend Line by Sandnes Garn - a lightweight, breathable yarn perfect for summer garments.

– We have many beautiful options available in-store, and we are happy to help you find the perfect match for your project.

– You are warmly welcome to bring yarn from your stash.
– If bringing personal yarn, we highly recommend attending the Yarn Selection Session so we can ensure suitability and yardage.

Please purchase the pattern in advance and bring it with you to the Yarn Selection Session.

Construction Overview:

The SABAI Top is worked top-down, allowing you to try it on as you go and adjust the length to your personal preference.

Throughout the project, you will explore:
– Working flat (front & back)
– Knitting in the round
– Joining in the round
– Making left- and right-leaning increases
